Athena Finally Gets Sirius v.2

Two of my most favorite things that I've ever purchased for Athena are her custom Sirius Republic collars that I got her back in December.  Jen from Sirius Republic so kindly agreed to let me send her fabric to make Athena's one-of-a-kind collars which I think match her personality perfectly.  Seeing as my last Sirius Republic purchase was six months ago, I got the itch to order a couple of new collars.

I justified my purchase by telling B that Athena needed new collars as a birthday/gotcha day gift.  Once again, Jen let me send in my custom picked fabrics and she made Athena two beautiful 1" martingale collars.

I love that wherever we go, people always compliment Athena's "outfits" and will often ask where we got her collars from.  Of course, we always give them the scoop about Sirius Republic and how wonderful of a business they are.  I absolutely love that their collars are handmade in California and that they donate a portion of their profits to animal rescues.

I'm so excited to have two new Sirius Republic collars to add to our collection and wardrobe rotation!  I don't know how I'm going to decide which collar to dress Athena in for each event now that we have four, though.  I'm also ridiculously already planning the colors of collars that I'd like to order next AND I still can't get the gray Sugar Skulls collar out of my head for another future purchase.

So, which one of Athena's new collars do you like best?  Are you a Sirius Republic addict like I am?

  1. I love both of them and they look fabulous on Athena. The fabrics look very Vera Bradley, which I know you are a fan of. :-)
I totally love Sirius Republic, as you well know, but although Ray is amassing an extensive collar collection, he only has 3 Sirius ones.

  2. You always find the best fabrics! I wish we had a girl dog sometimes so I could get away with collars like those.

  3. I think I need to let you pick a new fabric for Moby - it's been a few weeks since his last Sirius collar!! You always pick the best fabrics!

  4. The red/blue color combo looks great against Athena's brindle furs! Do you get your fabric at a local shop? Or online?

I'm totally hooked on Sirius collars, too. Diggs is on his third (not counting his "Adopt Me" collar, which was donated to the SPCA when I signed his adoption paperwork) and I've been itching to get him another.

    1. I always buy my fabric at Fabric Depot here in Portland (they sell online too!) because they have such a huge selection and really good quality fabric!

  5. Um, I'm pretty sure our SR addiction is well advertised ;-) Beautiful new collars! Although, I think the Bean could wear a garbage bag and make it look stylish.

PS... she's still a foster sister. BUT, the momma did set an "if she's not adopted by THIS date" date. So, I'm just counting the days and trying to figure out ways to have her miss those pesky adoption clinics ;-) hehe. If she IS adopted, the collar will go with her. The momma ordered her one with fleecies on the inside to help with her very collar-wearing sensitive neck...

    1. Ohhhh....well I'm hoping that Amelia sticks around until the "if she's not adopted by this date" date because that would just be so much fun to have a "permanent sister"!!!

  10. She looks so great in them, and she does wear them well! I always thought white dogs look good in everything, but now I see brindles do too!
